FAQ

Malaria Original turns from deep blue to pink, violet or magenta on contact with tonic or any acidic mixer. The mechanism is 100% natural: the anthocyanins in our flower blend are pH-sensitive. The acidity of the tonic lowers the pH and triggers the colour shift. No artificial colourings, no tricks — pure botanical chemistry.

Three gins: Original (floral, colour-changing, 40% ABV), Black (red fruits and spice, 47% ABV) and London Dry (juniper, vanilla and cacao, 43% ABV). We also make Vermut Malaria+Manija, in its Herbal and Spiced versions.

Original is floral and colour-changing at 40% ABV — made for a spectacular G&T. Black is red fruits and spice at 47% ABV — more intense, perfect for cocktails. London Dry is the classic, with juniper, vanilla and cacao at 43% ABV — elegant and velvety for Martinis and Negronis.

We carefully select 17 premium botanicals from 4 continents. Some we are happy to share: juniper from Patagonia, lavender from Provence, coriander from Morocco, lemon peel from Tucumán, rosehip from Patagonia and allspice from Central America. The rest of the blend — including the flower mix behind Original's colour change — stays secret. That is the magic of small batch.

A copón glass with ice, Malaria Original, premium tonic (Fever-Tree or craft) and a slice of lemon or a lavender flower. Pour the tonic slowly to watch the colour transformation happen live. Every expression can also be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as the base of a cocktail.

Yes, all our gins are gluten-free. Distillation removes gluten proteins, which makes our products safe for people with coeliac disease.

Malaria Gin is produced at Raven Clan Distillery in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. We combine traditional distilling techniques with innovation, working in small batches to guarantee the highest quality.

In 1840, in the British East Indies, soldiers mixed quinine with gin and tonic to fight malaria — and the Gin & Tonic was born. Malaria Gin is a tribute to that moment of human creativity. Founded in 2019 by 7 partners, with the first bottle sold on 31 March 2021, we are today an internationally awarded gin.

We are committed to sustainability. We recycle water in our production and actively reduce waste to minimise our environmental impact at every stage of the process.
